Russian investors have started to actively return to Dubai's residential property market following the cancellation of the preferential mortgage rate in Russia and a sharp rise in house prices, industry experts report. After mortgage rates in Russia were raised to 18%, buying property became much less affordable. As a result, Russian investors are increasingly looking at investing in UAE property, as well as mortgages in Dubai with attractive terms, as a more favourable alternative.
According to experts, the residential property market in Dubai continues to attract foreign buyers due to its stability, prestige and high rental income. Many are choosing residential developments in the UAE that offer favourable rental and long-term investment opportunities.
The heads of leading developers confirm the growing interest from Russian investors who see Dubai real estate not only as a way to preserve capital, but also to receive stable rental income, especially against the backdrop of rising prices per square metre of housing in Russia.
